Belling The Cat

Ding-Ding!
I've put a bell on you, you silly thing.

My ears prick,
eyes on the door
as you creep up the corridor.

Now I know to duck,
feign sleep -
so when you come to fuck things up with toothy lies -
you'll find me in disguise
and hidden deep
