The Strawberry Thief

This time I discovered who it was. School-uniformed. A cocky teenage truant!
Languidly, he stops by my strawberry-bush, picks one.  He rolls the fruit over his tongue, cheekily, watching my window as if he knows I hide there. So smugly self-assured.
But tomorrow I shall spray the bush with poison.

  2. I hear his easy steps coming up to me. He slowly stops and inspects my strawberries - his laughing eyes glancing towards the house behind me.

He suddenly plucks one of my strawberries and pops it in his mouth. With a wide grin, he strokes my leaves - and he is off.
