Jack






I agreed to switch bodies for a while with Jack the magpie, thinking I'd love being a magpie more than he loved being human. But as I watched him from my perch, he in my dress and my face, with my own smirk on, I began to have some doubts.

  1. There's a certain comfort in the hollow sound of the trod of a heavy foot, the feel of the grass being crushed beneath shoulders and the smell of wet soil in one's hair. And unless you’re a seabird the sea is forbidden. Then there’s the not having a penis issue.
